What We Do
myFootpath.com strives to help people “find their footpath”. So, what the heck does that mean? All of us follow a “footpath” in life – from high school, maybe on to college, through a career, maybe graduate school, from drab to life-changing experiences, and maybe with an adventure or two thrown in. Our goal at myFootpath.com is to provide you with thoughts, advice, and experience on how best to find your footpath, and navigate all the twists and turns in the journey we call “life”.
Practically speaking, we focus our efforts on students from high school all the way through individuals starting their careers or even switching careers. For the most part, we talk about how education can help you accomplish your goals. But, sometimes, you might not have a goal. And that’s where we help you try to talk to others and explore some of the possibilities. We try to share experiences we’ve had and connect you to people who have done what you want to do or are trying to do what you want to do. Through all of it, we hope to start conversations, introduce you to a few others of like mind, get you thinking, ask you questions, and amuse you sometimes (because hey, life is too serious).
We also offer services to assist colleges and schools in their risk management and enrollment management efforts. Our risk management service is a tailored solution to manage the risk created by legislation and can encompass default management, alumni services, career services and more. The enrollment management services offer assistance in moving the student through the complete enrollment process.
myFootpath: The Company
myFootpath, LLC is a Chicago-based, privately held company that runs the myFootpath.com site as well as the myFootpath College Advisory Service, which provides consultative advice on degree programs over the telephone.
myFootpath created and built another web property used in high schools called Prep HeadQuarters. Prep HeadQuarters is used by hundreds of high schools, thousands of counselors, and hundreds of thousands of students nationwide to help with college and career planning. myFootpath sold Prep HeadQuarters in mid-2008.
myFootpath, LLC was founded by leading high school guidance counselors. Our offerings help prospective students figure out what is next in their life. Typically these offerings are education-based and our counselors help meet the education goals of our prospective students in the way of matching them with schools and colleges.
While myFootpath.com helps the younger prospective college students, it extends into the adult learner group. We have learned that confusion about what you want to do with your life doesn’t really have an ending! It only continues, just with a different set of questions and circumstances.
