Mission and objectives
The National Association of Programmers was established to provide a consistent standard for professional programmers, developers and consultants and others in the computer/IT industry to convey to the professional community their abilities and talents. The National Association of Programmers is totally independent of any bias toward any particular operating system, platform, program or computer language. It is the mission of the National Association of Programmers to promote the economic growth and prosperity of the compuer/IT industry; to strengthen the American system of free, competitive enterprise; and to represent the common interests of business, industry, and the professions in the development of sound public policy which promotes economic opportunity for all.
