What an Animation Degree Teaches You
Animation degrees teach students basic design and artistic principles and theory, and then teach them how to apply those principles with the complex tools available today. Color theory, use of space, layout, and composition are all covered in most animation degree programs.
Most animation degree programs will require coursework in hand drawing before moving on to computer-aided design, to help hone the students’ artistic abilities.
Moving on to computer design degree programs, students are taught to create graphics, scenery, and characters in two and three dimensions. Most programs teach digital video and professional post-production techniques as well.
