TIME.
As a college graduate starting a new job, you don’t have any time. At least that is what you tell yourself on a daily basis. You wish for more hours in the day. You always feel behind. You don’t do anything for yourself.
This is a problem.
Peter Drucker said, “You cannot manage time, you can only manage yourself.”
The truth is that you do have time and you need to evaluate what you are doing with that time.
Time is a big excuse for not exercising. So I’m going to help you out. Here is a 10-minute exercise routine that you can do anywhere. Do as many repetitions as you can of each exercise per minute.
:00-:01 – Jog in place
:01-:02 – Squats (Dumbbells optional. Sit back into the squat and don’t let your knees go over your toes.)
:02-:03 – Push-ups (For beginners, do them on the wall or your knees.)
:03-:04 – Bicycle Abs (Bring your left elbow to your right knee and vice versa. Don’t strain your neck.)
:04-:05 – Ski Jumps (Jump and land on one leg into a lunge position. Jump onto the other leg.)
:05-:06 – Push-ups
:06-:07 – Ab Twists (Twist back and forth, keeping back straight and on an angle comfortable for you. Dumbbell optional.)
:07-:08 – Jog in place
:08-:09 – Jumping Jacks
:09-:10 – Hamstring, Quad, Arm Stretches
Use this routine when you are running out of time or need a quick energy boost. The hardest part is starting. Once you start, you may decide to do even more.
