What is your favorite thing about your job?

It goes beyond motivating students. It’s about the engagement, the connection, and academic success. While degrees are intangible, they hold real value. They unlock a student’s potential and represent an investment in their future. Helping students recognize that a degree is within reach, and guiding them through that journey, is incredibly rewarding. My work allows me to bridge the gap between aspiration and achievement.

What advice would you give someone thinking about going back to school?

Start by reconnecting with what excites you. What topic, skill, or field do you want to explore more deeply? College challenges you by sharpening critical thinking, broadening perspectives, and expanding what’s possible. It is a journey that brings growth, purpose, and new understanding. By the end, you become a more confident and grounded version of yourself.

Why is education important?

Education helps individuals find a voice, challenge their thinking, and better understand the world around them. It builds confidence, challenges assumptions, and invites lifelong growth. Learners develop tools to engage with themselves, their communities, and worldwide to become aware, intentional, and informed.

If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Strawberries. They’re fresh, crunchy, and endlessly versatile. From sweet, savory, drinkable, spreadable, or plain. Strawberries can show up in so many different ways. You can snack on them, cook with them, or enjoy them as they are. Simple and reliable.

What motivates you?

My biggest motivation is my incredibly beautiful and very anxious mother, who let me stay up until 3 am reading on school nights. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without her, but I might have been better rested.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about going back to school?

The stars probably aren’t going to align and make everything convenient and easy for your return to education. It doesn’t have to be the perfect time for it to be the right time.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about going back to school?

Education can help your career grow, but it can also help you as a human grow. It’s one of the best ways to better yourself.

If you could meet any person who would you choose and why?

I would want to meet Ethel Cain so I can tell her to hurry up and release her new album!

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I love helping students get a second chance at obtaining their degrees. I also love meeting new students and developing relationships with them. I’m always excited to hear about their passions and dreams.

What motivates you?

My family motivates me. Specifically, my nieces and nephews. They all look up to me, and I want to make sure that I am a great role model for them.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about going back to school?

The advice I would give is to pursue majors that they are passionate about. I would also advise them to conduct thorough research on the programs they are interested in.

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

I would be a blue whale. They are huge, beautiful, and unique. They have very few worries or fears. They can live up to 80-90 years, with some living over 100 years. They are also among the loudest animals on Earth, with calls reaching 188 decibels. It is said to be louder than a jet engine. They are loved and well-known. To me, they are “Gentle Giants.”
