Graduation Specialist

Ariel Baker

What is your favorite thing about your job? My favorite thing about this position is helping students break down barriers and helping them grow past the limitations that they place on themselves-  Just providing the resources and the tools and the help the students need to be successful.

What motivates you? Seeing people tap into their innate ability to reach their highest good.

What advice would you give someone who’s thinking of going back to school?– The first step is always the hardest. I would say just taking the first step and overcoming that initial fear, because the resources and the opportunities and the help are here and available, you just have to be open to taking that first step.

If you could be any animal what would you be? I would be a lion, because “Ariel” means lion.

Data Analyst

Tom Hulka

Why is data so important? It provides insight and can aid in making important decisions. Being financially literate is important and that all depends on data.

What is your favorite thing about your job? I like being able to manipulate data and enjoy the problem solving required to get things done.

What motivates you? Curiosity.

If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose? BBQ Ribs with a side dish of baked mac & cheese.

Graduation Specialist

Ravenia Gant

What’s your favorite thing about your job? Being able to take a particular question or concern from a student and getting it resolved for them.

What motivates you? Graduation. Our students have started before, and they come back and they understandably want to get finished. So I would say getting them to graduation.

What advice would you give to someone who’s thinking about going back to school? Don’t wait. There’s never going to be the perfect time. We always want to wait for a better time, but if we always wait, it will never happen.

If you could meet any person who would you choose? Dr. Maya Angelou. She was so inspiring in her words. I would have loved to have met her.
