What is your favorite thing about your job?

My favorite thing about my role is knowing that I am helping to make education more accessible. It is extremely rewarding to hear from the students we support that our services have made their dream of pursuing a college degree a reality.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about going back to school?

If there is an area of study that has always interested you, my advice is to lean into that! If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.

Why is education important?

Education can offer you the invaluable opportunity to open your mind to new ways of thinking and seeing the world. You’ll expand your knowledge in ways you might not even be able to imagine! The opportunities for growth are endless.

If you could meet any person who would you choose and why?

I would have loved to meet David Lynch. I consider him to be one of my favorite filmmakers and will forever cherish the art he brought into the world.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

The best part of my job is seeing how I can actively change students’ lives. So many of the students that I work with have no clue what to do regarding returning to school. I love seeing how I can use the experience I have to guide students towards a new adventure.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about going back to school?

Consider it seriously, weigh the pros and cons, but don’t let the commitment scare you. You know if you want to return to school and change the situation around you. It’s a feeling.

Why is education important?

I find education to be the most important thing a person can pursue. Not only because it can open career doors, but rather because education changed the world you see around you. Allowing you to place your feet in the shoes of others, and understand situations in ways you may not have before.

If you could meet any person who would you choose and why?

Louis Athusser. Specifically because I love the way that he constructs the connection between ideological reality and the imagined individual. His work continues to shape the way I see the world.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

My favorite part of my job is meeting new people and building relationships with students from different backgrounds.

What motivates you?

What motivates me is being able to make a positive impact on someone’s life. Seeing students achieve a goal they may have thought was out of reach is incredibly rewarding.

Why is education important?

Education is important because it opens doors to new opportunities and helps people grow. It can build knowledge, confidence, and the skills to reach goals and make a better future.

If you could meet any person, who would you choose and why?

If I could meet any person, I would want to meet Harry Styles. I admire what he stands for, love his music, and he genuinely seems like a kind and down-to-earth person.
