Finding the Right Path Forward
When Joshua first considered going back to school, he wasn’t sure where to begin. After exploring options, he realized the high cost of some programs would leave him with overwhelming debt. That’s when he connected with the myFootpath team, through an email that arrived at just the right time.
He applied the same day, was accepted, and, one year later, he’s thriving in his Bachelor’s program in Communications and Graphic Design.
“I didn’t think I was going to end up going back to school… but it’s been a great experience so far.”
Learning, Creating, and Applying Skills in Real Time
Joshua is already building a portfolio of creative work, from newsletters to custom graphics, and even running social media for a local Michigan business. His instructors have been hands-on and supportive, helping him gain confidence with tools like Adobe and other professional design platforms.
And the results show: Joshua recently earned a spot on the Dean’s list.
Support That Helped Him Start Strong
When he first returned to school, Joshua admits the process felt overwhelming:
“I was kind of like a fish out of water… you guys helped me, guided me through everything, and coached me along the way.”
For adult learners navigating financial aid, online platforms, and academic expectations, that early guidance can make all the difference. At myFootpath, we’re proud to walk beside students like Joshua from the moment they re-enroll until the day they graduate.
Looking Ahead
Joshua’s long-term goal is to start his own graphic design and social media marketing business while first serving local clients, then expanding online. He encourages anyone considering a return to school to take the leap:
“If you really want to pursue that goal, just do it… go for it and chase your dreams.”
Joshua’s journey reminds us why re-enrollment work matters, and how powerful it can be when adult learners receive the support they deserve.
