Dr. Michael Huffman is a trusted advisor and high-performing leader with significant career experience and success in higher education, investment banking, capital markets, venture capital, and small business consulting.
He has experience assembling effective teams, P&L management, budgeting, capital raising, business development, strategic planning, and new market development. He has deep expertise with innovative and entrepreneurial thinking while collaborating with founders of start-ups and leadership at organizations with multiple business lines and diverse teams.
Dr. Huffman is a member of the advisory board and an investor in the London-based ed tech company, FourthRev, LTD. He also serves on the advisory board of the Chicago-based myFootpath, LLC, a company that helps universities reengage and graduate adult students.
Dr. Huffman is a past member of the University Professional and Continuing Education Association (UPCEA) board of directors and present vice-chair at-large of the UPCEA international network. He is a past member of the Learning Resources Network (LERN) and former Virginia state representative for the Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE). He is a past member and secretary of the Center for Professional Growth advisory board, a past president of the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Education alumni council, and past member of the VCU alumni association board of directors.
